Kamloops Mounties say they are investigating after bones were found near Peterson Creek Thursday.
They say around they responded to an area above the 700 block of the East Trans Canada Highway around 12:30 p.m. that day, following a report involving some bones that were found.
“Right now, police are working with the BC Coroners Service to confirm if the bones are human and if so, who they belonged to,” Corporal Crystal Evelyn said. “From there, the investigation will continue into the circumstances surrounding their discovery.”
Evelyn says there will be an update released when more information is available.
