The Kamloops Blazers split a pair of games on the Island, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Victoria Royals Saturday night.
Teydon Trembecky and Matthew Hodson put the home team up by a pair of goals in the first and second period respectively.
Fraser Minten cut the lead to one early in the third, before Jake Poole scored what turned out to be the game winner midway through the period.
Ryan Hofer brought the Blazers back to within one again, but the Memorial Cup hosts could not find the tying goal as the Royals held on for their second win over Kamloops this season.
