The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is asking residents for input on service levels and taxation.
It has launched a month long survey to gauge the priorities of residents including what services that within the TNRD’s jurisdiction matter most to them, and if there are any services they want to see introduced, expanded, reduced, or eliminated.
“This feedback will be used to help inform strategic planning sessions to take place in the Spring of 2023,” TNRD spokesperson Colton Davies said.
“The Strategic Plan will establish a strategic approach to addressing priorities and challenges in the TNRD, and will serve as a tool for determining the allocation of financial and human resources.”
Last month, the TNRD said it was potentially looking at a 5.68 per cent tax increase in 2023, with Chief Financial Officer, Carla Fox, saying service levels and property assessments are the key drivers that determine how much the tax rate changes year over year.
The survey will be open until Feb. 28 and it is available online, or by paper copy on request.
