
Kamloops RCMP say a woman in her 30s in a critical condition after she was hit by an SUV on the North Shore yesterday evening.
Police say they were called to the area of Mackenzie Avenue and Marcel Street around 6 p.m., March 1, after the woman was hit by a southbound SUV while trying to cross the road.
Spokesperson Corporal Crystal Evelyn says the woman was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“The driver of the SUV is cooperating with the ongoing investigation,” Evelyn said. “Traffic in the area was impacted until after midnight while officers collected evidence and conducted interviews.”
