RCMP say a Merritt woman is facing charges of assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement after her arrest over the weekend.
In a news release, Merritt RCMP say they were called to the 1900 block of Morrissey Street last Friday, March 17.
The following day, March 18, they say they executed a search warrant with help from the South East District Emergency Response Team. Mounties say multiple people were detained and that a woman was arrested.
RCMP say charges against Kristal Lynn Poirier were approved on Sunday, March 19. She is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, March 21.
