David Hallinan will step into the role of Corporate Services Director with the City of Kamloops as of April 3.
CAO David Trawin says Hallinan, who succeeds Kathy Humphrey, was chosen after a rigorous selection process.
Hallinan has been with the City since 2016, most recently as the City’s Financial Planning and Procurement Manager. Prior to that, he had a 13 year career at the BC Lottery Corporation as a Senior Accountant of Bingo Finance (2003 to 2008), the Manager of Facilities and Administration (2007 to 2008), and the Director of Corporate Services and Facilities (2008 to 2016).
“David has shown exceptional dedication to the City of Kamloops and has proven commitment to a transparent and accountable government,” Trawin said in a news release.
“We’re confident in his ability to lead this department and guide this City as part of the senior leadership team.”
As Corporate Services Director, Trawin says Hallinan will lead and coordinate five divisions of the City – Information Technology, Legislative Services, Financial Services, Planning and Procurement, and Enterprise Risk Management.
“I am really proud to work and live in the City of Kamloops. I feel very fortunate to work for a first-class organization and with an incredible group of professionals who proudly care for our city each day,” Hallinan said in a news release.
“I am looking forward to working with the senior leadership team and City Council.”
