UPDATE – One person was taken to Royal Inland Hospital in a stable condition after a vehicle crashed into the Mook Wok restaurant on Tranquille Road in Kamloops.
BCEHS says it was called to 755 Tranquille Road around 4:41 p.m. Monday afternoon to reports of a crash.
“One ambulance responded to the scene; paramedics cared for and transported one patient to hospital in stable condition,” BC EHS said in a statement to RadioNL.
Pictures from the scene show a dark grey Volkswagen Golf with its airbags deployed on the sidewalk besides the North Kamloops restaurant. The vehicle hit at least two brick pillars before coming to a rest in front of the restaurant’s front door.
