UPDATE – The Ts’kw’aylaxw First Nation has issued an evacuation alert for Pavilion Indian Reserve #1 due to the South East Skwish Creek wildfire, that is burning north of Lillooet.
It says residents on that reserve should be ready to leave their homes on very short notice.

The BC Wildfire Service says it has ground crews responding with air support en route to the scene of the suspected human-caused fire that was discovered around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.
A travel advisory in effect for the 75 kilometre stretch of Highway 99 between Industrial Place and Lillooet due to limited visibility as a result of smoke in the area.
