There were no injuries after a two-alarm structure fire at High Country Cold Storage on the Mount Paul Industrial Park yesterday afternoon.
That is according to a BC Emergency Health Services spokesperson who tells NL News they did not care for or take anyone to hospital following the fire.
“BC Emergency Health Services received a call of a structure fire at Dene Drive and Okanagan Way at 5:44 p.m. April 20,” the statement said. “[We] responded with two ambulances. Paramedics did not care for or transport any patients.”
Kamloops firefighters were called to the scene around 5:40 Thursday afternoon.
At one point, there was heavy black smoke and flames visible from downtown Kamloops, though firefighters had the blaze under control about 45 minutes after they began responding.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
