Kamloops RCMP say one man was taken into custody after a weapons complaint led to a massive police presence on the North Shore this afternoon.
Spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn say they were called to reports of a disturbance on the 200-block of Tranquille Road around 3:40 p.m., July 19.
“It was a disturbance involving someone who was making threats and possibly in possession of a weapon,” Evelyn told Radio NL.
Witnesses told Radio NL the incident was at the Canco Gas Station, with Evelyn saying the suspect was found and arrested a short distance away.
“The investigation is currently ongoing,” she said.
