Surrey RCMP say Verity Bolton, the mother of two children who are subject of the BC-wide Amber Alert, was spotted leaving the Superstore in Kamloops on July 15.
They say her two children – eight-year-old Aurora and 10-year-old Joshuah – were not seen in the store with her at the time. At the time, Verity was dressed all in black and wearing a black baseball cap and black sunglasses.
The Amber Alert was issued Thursday, after the children were not returned to their father – who has full custody – on Monday following a camping trip with their mother in the Interior.
The camping reservation was never used, with police saying the last confirmed sighting of the two children was in the Merritt area on July 7, one week after the June 30 sighting at Kraftys Kitchen & Bar in downtown Kelowna.
At a news conference Thursday, police said they believe 45-year-old Verity is travelling with two additional men – her father Robert Bolton, 74, and her boyfriend Abraxas Glaszov, 53.

“They are believed to be in possession of an additional trailer – a large travel trailer,” Surrey RCMP spokesperson, Corporal Vanessa Munn, said Thursday.
A man identifying himself as the kids’ father took to Facebook late Wednesday to say they group may also be in possession of three dogs.
“Two are about six months old and look similar and one puppy,” wrote Paul Beauregard.
Munn also said police are concerned for the mother’s mental health and her ability to care for the children.
“Through the investigation, police made a determination that there was an imminent risk to the safety and wellbeing of Aurora and Joshuah,” Munn added.
RCMP also released new pictures of Bolton’s truck – a dark blue 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 with BC licence plate SJ2708 – which was towing a white bumper pull horse/utility style trailer.

The Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation with assistance from Mounties in Kamloops.
“Our investigators are following up on all tips received and continue to pursue all possible investigative avenues to bring Aurora and Joshuah home safely,” Munn added.
“Anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Verity, Aurora or Joshuah is asked to immediately call 911.”
In a statement, the family of the children say they are devastated by the recent events.
“Our family would like to thank the RCMP for their ceaseless efforts as well as the public, who are sharing the AMBER Alert and have been calling in with tips,” the statement released Thursday said.
“We ask everyone if they could continue to be vigilant in looking for Josh and Aurora, who we miss greatly and hope they will be returned home safe very soon. Our family is respectfully asking for privacy at this time.”
