
For the second time in a little over two years, a lottery ticket sold in Kamloops has won a share of the biggest possible jackpot.
According to Lotto Max, a ticket matching all seven numbers for the July 25 draw was sold in Kamloops. The person – or people – with that ticket win $35 million.
The winning numbers were 15, 16, 17,18, 43, 44 and 48. The bonus number was 50, while the Extra numbers were 34, 40, 70, and 90.
The other $35-million winning ticket was sold in Edmonton.
Semi-retired trucker, Gary Hill, was announced as the last $35M winner on July 7, 2021. The 61-year-old – who bought his winning ticket at McGoo’s Smokes N Stuff at the Northills Shopping Centre – matched all seven numbers in the June 22, 2021 Lotto Max draw.
Hill split his winnings with a 29-year-old Toronto man, Ginno Torres.
Elsewhere, a ticket sold somewhere in the Shuswap will split a $1-million Maxmillions prize. The winner will take home $500,000.
The jackpot for the next draw this Friday, July 28, is an estimated $28 million.
