The co-owner of the Kamloops NorthPaws says conversations are underway about whether or not the squad’s bench-boss this past season will be returning.
Speaking on the NL Noon Report, Norm Daley, says discussions with Manager Keith Francis are going to be taking place over the course of the next few weeks.
“Keith wants to think about what he wants to do. We want to think about what we want to do, just the whole things to where we go from here,” Daley said. “Obviously, we want to make a decision quickly because we need to start recruiting for next year and getting on to those players that were here.”
Francis came into Kamloops as a last-minute replacement for former Major Leaguer Brian Anderson, who had been tapped to take over the NorthPaws this spring, but then took a position at Northwestern University in Chicago.
The NorthPaws finished their second season with a 12-and-40 record, which put them at the bottom of the West Coast League.
“There are still positives that definitely come out of it,” Daley added. “We just have to make some decisions here over the next probably two or three weeks and then come up with a plan for how we are going to proceed next year.”
