Kamloops RCMP say they’re investigating a hit-and-run that sent one man to Royal Inland Hospital with significant injuries.
Mounties say they were called to the 400-block of Tranquille Road around 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Aug. 31. They say the victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with significant but non-life threatening injuries.
“A grey truck was noted to be leaving the area following what was described as a commotion,” RCMP spokesperson, Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.
“It’s still very early in the investigation, but we are hopeful that someone in the area witnessed or captured security video of the incident, to help further the investigation.”
People with information are being told to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-31509.
This is the second hit-and-run in Kamloops in the past week.
Mounties are also investigating one from last Friday, Aug. 25, that sent a man to hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle involved, a dark-coloured Chevrolet Cruze, was later found abandoned in Riverside Park.
