UPDATE 2 p.m. – Highway 1 between Savona and Cache Creek is now open after being shut down this morning following a major crash.

DriveBC says the multi-vehicle crash took place sometime around 3 am between Black Valley Road and Juniper Beach Provincial Park.

No word on how many vehicles may have been involved, or whether there are injuries or fatalities.
