Kamloops RCMP have released a picture of a semi truck believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on the Trans Canada Highway in Kamloops two years ago today.
Mounties were called to the westbound lanes of the highway across from Holman Road and Pineridge Golf Course at 5:45 a.m. on Sept. 21, 2021. They arrived to find an E-bike rider in his 20s who had succumbed to his injuries.
“Two years ago today, Jonathan Trosky was riding his bike to work when he was tragically and fatality struck by a vehicle on the side of the highway,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.

“In recognition of the anniversary of his untimely death, we are releasing an image of a truck with the hope that someone will recognize it, the logo on its side, or recall driving it through Kamloops on the date of the collision, and contact police to help further the investigation.”
Evelyn says the semi – a white Volvo pulling an Ocean trailer – was seen at a gas station near Kamloops on Sept. 21, 2021.
People with information about the truck or the investigation are being told to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-33187.
