Kamloops RCMP are looking for witnesses and information following an alleged robbery and assault in McArthur Island Park earlier this week.
Police were contacted about the incident on Monday, which reportedly occurred around 2:30 p.m. where a woman was walking through the park on the path near a secondary school on 12th Street.
According to the report, the woman was approached from behind, assaulted, and robbed of her wallet and phone.
“The victim received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.
“If anyone was in the area and saw something or has security footage that captured anything which could be related to this incident or the suspects, please contact police as soon as possible.”
Police say the suspects are described to be a man in his 40’s and a woman in her 30’s with long blond hair. Both suspects were wearing baggy pants and medical masks and riding small bicycles.
Those with information are asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.
