Logan Lake RCMP have renewed a call for help in finding a 67-year-old Prince George man who hasn’t been seen in over a week.
Police say John David Young – who may also go by the name Dave – was last seen in Logan Lake on Sept. 21 after visiting a friend.
Mounties have reason to believe that Young may have mistakenly travelled north from Spences Bridge to Clinton and may still be in the Clinton area.
Police say Young was travelling alone from his house in Prince George to Duncan on Vancouver Island. Young is believed to be driving a two-tone green 1994, Ford F-250, with British Columbia licence plate VJ8 406.
The truck – pictured below – has a black front right fender and a green canopy with black overhead racks.
“Air and ground search efforts so far have not located Mr. Young or his truck,” RCMP spokesperson, Cpl. James Grandy said. “Mr. Young’s family and police are concerned for his well-being, as it is out of character for him.”
John Young is a white man, standing six feet tall, weighting about 190 lbs. He has blue eyes and grey, balding hair.
People with information are being told to contact the Logan Lake RCMP at 250-523-6222, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
