Mounties are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle collision near Heffley Creek.
Kamloops and Tk’emlups RCMP were notified of a truck crash down a steep embankment on Todd Mountain Road.
Police say it appears the vehicle had rolled down the embankment a few days earlier.
A man, believed to be the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was found dead nearby.
“Due to the placement of the collision scene, a section of the roadway was temporarily closed during the late afternoon while police, the coroner, and Kamloops Search and Rescue worked to retrieve the victim from the steep terrain,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.
Police and the BC Coroners Service are currently conducting investigations.
At this time, no criminality is suspected.
Anyone who witnessed or has information that may be related, is asked to contact the Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment.
