Kamloops RCMP are investigating the discovery of a note that solicited sex with a “young lady” in exchange for money.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called about 1 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 22. She says the note included a meeting place on Southill Street in Brocklehurst.
Evelyn says officers on scene found and questioned a “person of interest” as part of the investigation Wednesday afternoon.
“Because police were promptly notified of this incident, officers were able to investigate and collect information which may be beneficial should a similar occurrence be reported,” Evelyn said.
“We are aware that there was some discussion about the note on social media prior to police attendance, and encourage anyone with knowledge about this or similar occurrences in the future, to avoid pursuing the matter independently and to please contact police as soon as possible.”
People with information about the incident can call police at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-41498.
