Dan Stevens has been elected as the newest councillor in the Village of Chase.
Stevens got 233 of the 602 votes that were cast during advanced polls on Jan. 10 and on election day this past Saturday, Jan. 20.
Bev Iglesias (145) and Rick Berrigan (110) were the only other candidates to cross the 100 vote threshold.
Alison Lauzon was fourth with 92 votes, with Kim Campbell and Tanja Wilson finished with 16 and six votes respectively.
This month’s by-election came following the November resignation of Ron Harder, who cited health concerns as his reason.
Berrigan and and Lauzon had previous experience on Chase Council.
