Kamloops RCMP say a suspect was taken into custody this afternoon after a physical confrontation on board a transit bus.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says Mounties were called to the 100-block of Victoria Street West just before 4 p.m. this afternoon, after a group of people were allegedly engaged in a physical altercation.

Evelyn says one of the people involved had a weapon, but she did not specify what kind.

“Thanks to the fast response of frontline officers, a suspect was quickly located, taken into custody, and no serious injuries were reported,” Evelyn said.
