Kamloops RCMP are looking for a pair of suspects after a home invasion in Aberdeen yesterday morning, Feb. 15.
Police say they were called to the 2400-block of Drummond Court around 11 a.m., after the suspects had allegedly forced their way into a home while people inside were still sleeping.
“Those in the area saw two men running away with what appeared to be firearms, before leaving the area in a black SUV,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, said.
“The incident is believed to be targeted. We are releasing images of the two suspects with hope that someone from the public can help police identify them.”
Evelyn says no injuries were reported, but police seized weapons, ammunition, and more than 150 grams of suspected meth, cocaine, and crack, which appeared to be packed for sale.
She also says police stopped a black SUV nearby, but it was not related to the break-in.
Police say the first suspect is described as a man standing about six-feet tall, with a close cropped beard, who has dressed in black. He’s believed to be about 30 years of age
The second suspect was also a man around 30-years of age, standing six-feet tall. While his face was covered, police say he has a longer nose, and was wearing a blue track suit with three white stripes on its arms and legs at this time.
People who are able to identify the suspects, or those who witnessed the home invasion or have video of it or the vehicle involved are being told to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-4626.
