Kamloops Blazers forward Jordan Keller has been named the WHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 3, 2024.
The 18-year-old forward led the Blazers with seven points (four goals and three assists), and a plus six rating in three games, two of which were won by the Blazers.
He also led all WHL players with an average of 2.33 points per game, and is currently on a four game streak with at least two points.
Keller had two goals and an assist and was named first-star in Wednesday’s 5-2 win over Spokane, his second three-point game in the WHL.
He also had a goal and an assist each in Friday’s 5-3 loss to Seattle, as well as Saturday’s 3-2 win over Vancouver, and was named second-star in both of those games.
The Kamloops native has 38 points (13 goals and 25 assists) in 38 games with the Blazers, since he was acquired in the Fraser Minten trade. He also put up eight points (five goals and three assists) in 23 games with the Saskatoon Blades this season.
He’s the second Blazer to be named Player of the Week this season, after Emmitt Finnie.
Seven point week for Jordan who’s getting a good opportunity with the Blazers and delivering. Blazers definitely targeted him as the return in the Minten trade. https://t.co/GNQ3W7vceq
