RCMP say the believe that a Kamloops man who went missing last month was the victim of homicide in the Kelowna area.
Kamloops Mounties say they were told on Tuesday, April 30, that a body that was found in the area of the 201 Forest Service Road on April 20 was that of 47-year-old Kelvin “Kelly” Jobson, who was last seen on April 6.
Mounties say Jobson was reported missing on April 10, and they’re currently in the process of tracking his whereabouts and activities – suspicious or otherwise – before and after he went missing.
“The Kamloops RCMP Detachment, with assistance from the Southeast District Major Crimes Unit, is continuing its investigation into Kelly Jobson’s disappearance and homicide, and is turning to the public for any information that may be related,” Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Todd Wiebe said.
“Based on the investigation so far, we know that Kelly was in Kamloops on April 6 or 7, outside of his residence on Linden Avenue. Although we have conducted neighbourhood inquiries and video canvasses to help us timeline his last movements in Kamloops, we are asking the community to please take another look and reconsider if they saw or heard anything that might be related, now that we have confirmation he is sadly deceased.”
Jobson was described as a white man, standing six-feet tall, weighing 165lbs. He had brown hair and brown eyes.
Wiebe says people with information that could be related to Jobson’s disappearance should contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000.
