Kamloops RCMP say they have seized a grey Honda Civic that may be connected to Monday afternoon’s shooting at the Ramada Hotel.
Mounties say the vehicle was found abandoned on Ord Road around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday morning, about six hours after the shooting.
Earlier today, police say they were told about a silver car that was seen fleeing the scene after the shooting – the fourth in the last five days in Kamloops.
“The circumstances surrounding how the vehicle ended up abandoned are suspicious for reasons that are part of the ongoing investigation,” Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Todd Wiebe said, in a statement.
“We are releasing stock images of an older model grey Honda Civic in the hope that the public can help us establish a timeline on its movements.”
Police also confirmed Tuesday that a man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the shooting, which they believe was targeted.
People with information including video, dash camera footage, or other details that may be relevant to these shootings are being told to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000.
