Kamloops RCMP say a 23-year-old local man has been charged after a vehicle fire on St. Paul Street on Monday night.
Police say they were called to reports of a suspicious vehicle fire in a parking lot on the 100-block of St. Paul Street around 11:40 p.m. on Monday, May 20.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says while there were no injuries reported, there was damage to two vehicles as well as a building.
“Kamloops frontline officers, with the assistance of the General Investigations Support Team, located and arrested a suspect the next morning, who was held in police custody for a bail hearing,” Evelyn said.
Evelyn says William Aaron Lamb is facing charges related to intentionally or recklessly causing fire, and two counts of failure to comply with a court order. He is due back in court on Thursday, May 23.
