Kamloops RCMP are asking people for more information following two recent reports of a man chasing children in a Sahali park.
Police say they were called to Albert McGowan Park around 5:50 p.m. on May 13, after a man “allegedly came out of the bushes and taunted a group of children” before chasing them away in their bikes.
They note a similar report was also made a few days later around 6:20 p.m. on April 16, with the man in question believed to be with a woman who was nearby.
“The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking to speak with the man, the woman he was with, or someone who may know him, to discuss the report and help further the investigation,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Corporal Crystal Evelyn said.
Police say the man is white man between 40 and 50 years of age, with stocky build and a pronounced lower lip. He was balding and wearing a grey or black shirt and grey shorts at the time. The woman was also white with “salt and pepper hair” styled in a bun. Police say she was wearing a coral shirt.
People with information are being told to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-14277.
