The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2009-born defenseman Madden Tymchak to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The Oakbank, MB native is the third member of the 2024 WHL draft class to commit to the Blazers.
Drafted in the third round, 46th overall, Tymchak put up 30 points in 25 games for the Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg U15 Prep team last season. He also added two assists in four playoff games.
“Madden is a highly competitive player that is a physical force on the blueline,” Blazers’ Manitoba Scout, Brad Davis said at the time. “He has a great ceiling for development and we are thrilled to draft him.”
The six-foot defenceman joins forward Asher Gingras and defenseman Joaquin Geras as the other 2009-born players to sign with the Blazers.
