Kamloops RCMP say two men were arrested and later released after an investigation into a prolific offender Wednesday afternoon.
Mounties say officers were investigating a report of stolen electronics which led them to an undisclosed address on Victoria Street West around 2 p.m., July 24.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the two men – who were not identified – were the subject of an investigation by the Kamloops Crime Reduction Unit, who were also on scene Wednesday.
“A large police presence was visible at the time and although several people were detained, only two were arrested,” Evelyn said. “A quantity of drugs and a handgun were seized as part of the investigation. The electronics that were reported stolen however, remain outstanding.”
Evelyn says the men later released without charges as part of the ongoing investigation.
