The Kamloops International Buskers Festival is back for 2024.
Entertainers include acrobats, magicians, jugglers, hula hoops, artists, musicians and more. Organizers say you’ll be amazed by the outstanding depth of talent.
Audrey Trim is the Event Coordinator and says this year there is a completely new lineup. ”
So all new buskers. Some of the same [performers] but new shows,” Trim said.
“So our people’s choice award winners from last year, the Circus Firemen, they’re coming back with their solo shows. And then we’ve got three new performers joining us this year, as well as a local performer Clinton W. Gray and then Victor Rubilar, who’s been here before. He’s back with a brand new show. So it’s it’s all new act, and it’s going to be exciting.”
Things kick off in Riverside Park Thursday, July 25 at 5 p.m. and then run all throughout the weekend.
Each act will be putting on about three to four shows a day, but Trim says there is also a lot more going on at the same time.
“We’ve got six local food vendors who are in town here as well. We’ve got a great lineup of artisans and vendors,” she said.
“We also have some very talented local musicians and regional musicians who are coming down to play. And then on Saturday and Sunday, we’ve got a couple artists who are coming out down and doing an art installation.”
There will also be a kid zone, which features busking workshops, face painting, balloon twisting, and more.
