Ethan Katzberg after winning gold in the men's hammer throw at a Diamond League event in Poland.
It’s another accolade for Kamloops-trained Olympic champion Ethan Katzberg.
The 22-year-old Katzberg won gold at the men’s hammer at a Diamond League event in Chorzów, Poland. His throw of 80.03 metres edged out Ukraine’s Mykhaylo Kokhan who finished second with a throw of 79.85 metres.
Poland’s Wojciech Nowicki finished in third place with a throw of 76.05 metres.
There are still no definitive plans for Katzberg’s return to Kamloops as he continues to compete abroad.
