Community Services Officers attempting to lead one of three pit bulls who killed another dog on Sunday into a Sahali veterinarian office/via Brett Mineer
We’re awaiting more details from the RCMP — including whether fines or charges may be forthcoming — after a disturbing scene Sunday morning on Richmond Avenue on the north shore, where a group of pit bulls attacked and killed another dog.
The owner of the border collie alerted police, after she came out of her home shortly after 6am to find her dog being attacked by three pit bulls who had escaped from a home on nearly Jasper Avenue.
After the attack, the pit bulls bolted.
They were later captured by Community Services Officers and taken into custody.
Locals in the neighborhood tell Radio NL the home where the pit bulls escaped from has been the target of a number of police investigations.
