Kamloops RCMP are asking for help in finding a missing 41-year-old man who has not been seen or heard from since Labour Day Monday.
Police say they were told about the disappearance of Michael Scott on Saturday, Sept. 7, and have been investigating since then.
They note that the truck that Scott had been driving – a blue Dodge Ram pickup with licence plate WC1615 – was found near the Red Bridge last Thursday, Sept. 5, with two other people inside.
While its not clear who was in the vehicle, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says it was impounded in connection with an impaired driving investigation.
“So far, we have received tips regarding Michael’s possible whereabouts, but have yet to locate him and confirm he is okay,” Evelyn said. “If you are Michael or know where he is, please contact us as soon as possible, as his family and police are concerned for his wellbeing.”
Michael is described as a white man, standing about five-foot-nine, weighing 160lbs. He has brown hair and facial hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his right forearm.
He was last seen wearing a white blanket around his shoulders, a black t-shirt and sweat pants, and white shoes.
People with information about his whereabouts are being asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-29755.
