Around 2:40 Tuesday afternoon, Salmon Arm RCMP were advised of a two-vehicle collision on the Trans Canada Hwy, about 5km east of Canoe.

The highway was closed for about three hours.

Police say a Toyota mini-van crossed the centre line and collided with a Toyota pickup truck.

BC Ambulance attended where the lone occupant of a Toyota mini van was pronounced dead.

The two occupants of the pickup truck were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage from the area is asked to contact the Salmon Arm RCMP.
