A sure sign that we are getting closer to ski season as Sun Peaks is reporting over 8cm of snow fell at higher elevations on the mountains by the Thursday morning.
The Weather Network is forecasting more snow to fall in the village on Friday before the possibility of some rain over the weekend. Of course the rain could mean snow in those higher elevations.
The ski resort is set to begin welcoming back riders in just four weeks time. The slopes opening weekend is currently set for November 16, which includes the opening of the much-anticipated new West Bowl Express Chairlift.
