Kamloops Mounties have put out an appeal for public help in identifying a pair of vehicles involved in — what appears to be — a gang-style shooting over the weekend.
RCMP say they were called out to the 100-block of Oak Road, just off Tranquille, at around 7:30 Saturday morning to gunfire coming from two separate vehicles into a home which the Mounties say is “known to police.”
The Mounties say while multiple shots were fired, none hit their intended mark, as there were no injuries.
The vehicles in question — a white 4-door hatchback and a green, four-door sedan — then sped off north along Tranquille after the shooting.
While not providing any details on the would-be victim or victims of the shooting, Mounties suggest the incident is a high priority for them.
“The investigation indicates this was targeted,” said Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson as part of a release. “Incidents such as this pose a danger to everyone in the community, and we’re doing everything we can to identify them.”
