Indications are the Mounties in Kamloops may be taking a run at one or more of the organized drug rings operating in the city.
Kamloops RCMP has issued a brief statement this morning, asking for “patience from the public” as officers wrap up their work on the scenes of three different locations in north Kamloops.
While details of the operation have not been revealed, RCMP do say the local detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit did execute a search warrants on a location in the 21-hundred block of Edgemount Avenue, not far from Parkcrest Elementary.
Another take-down took place a sizeable distance away in the 25-hundred block of Glenview Avenue, while a third was at a location in the 900-block of Tranquille.
It’s not clear at this time if the warrants were executed simultaneously.
However, the Mounties have confirmed all three are related to on going drug trafficking investigations.
Kamloops RCMP say they do intend to provide more information as the investigations wrap up.
