With seemingly no cooperation from his alleged accomplice, Kamloops Mounties have put out photos of a suspect they say was part of a two-person armed robbery of a Dufferin-area business a few days before Christmas.
RCMP say the suspect is believed to be involved with the hold-up — involving a gun — of an unnamed business in the 1300 block of Hillside Drive on December 22nd.
The 1300 block of Hillside is the smaller commercial area behind Duffy’s Pub and across from the Aberdeen Mall, which includes the Angry Otter Liquor Store and Hillside Vape — both of which would have been open at the time police were called at 5:45pm on the Sunday.
While details of the robbery itself have not been provided, RCMP suggest officers were on the scene within moments of the call coming in.

“Multiple officers responded to the area and quickly located and arrested one person, who was also wanted on arrest warrants,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “Based on the investigation, police believe two people were involved.”
The suspect’s description is somewhat generic.
RCMP say he’s a man with a fair complexion, with no height or weight characteristics provided.
However, the Mounties do suggest his clothing may be of interest, as he was wearing a beige zip-up vest, with a dark shirt, pants and shoes on.
His hat had a somewhat unique white logo on the front, and he was carrying a blue duffle bag or backpack, as well as a square sling bag.
Anyone with information is asked to reach out directly to the Kamloops RCMP.
While the numbers for the rest of 2024 aren’t expected until the spring, stats do suggest armed robberies have been on a relative decline compared to the previous three years.
