Kamloops RCMP are investigating an early morning shooting on the North Shore.
Mounties say multiple officers along with police dog services responded to a report of man who had been shot just after 2:00 a.m. Friday January 24, 2025 in the 900 block of 13th Street.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries to the extent of which are not known at this time.
Police do believe that several people were in involved in the incident and the file is being supported by the Serious Crime unit, and General Investigation Support team along with the Kamloops RCMP Forensic Identification Section as part of the investigation.
Cpl. Dana Napier a spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP says while police continuing to investigate, the incident does not appear to be random.
“We are asking anyone who may have been witness to this incident or has video surveillance to call the Kamloops RCMP and reference file 2025-2175.”
