BCLC is teaming up with the Kamloops Blazers to help support the Y Women’s Emergency Shelter.
On Saturday, February 8, Volunteers will be set up outside of Sandman Centre on game day from 5:00-6:30 p.m. to accept donations.
A big focus of the night includes encouraging community members to donate towards the creation of the Y’s start-up baskets, which contain new household items such as small appliances, toiletry items and cleaning materials – all things that can help make a big difference in the lives of those supported by the Y.
“These baskets will help provide Kamloops women and children who are fleeing violence, with a fresh start.” BCLC said in a release.
The Kamloops Blazers are set to host the Prince George Cougars on Saturday night as they continue their fight for a WHL playoff spot.
Join us on Saturday, February 8th at 6pm when the Kamloops Blazers host the Prince George Cougars!
We’ve teamed up with @BCLC to support a vital local organization: the Y Women’s Emergency Shelter @KamloopsY
