Update 4:03
Kamloops RCMP arrested one man in connection to an investigation which saw a police presence on the North Shore today.
Just before 10:00 Wednesday morning, the Crime Reduction Unit along with the support of frontline officers, attended a residence in the 1800-block of Parkcrest Avenue.
A search warrant was executed as part of a property crime investigation.
A portion of the roadway near Laroque Street was also closed for about two hours. A stolen e-bike and dirt bike were recovered from the address.
Then just before 2:00 in the afternoon, a suspect was arrested on Tranquille Road as part of the ongoing investigation.
Superintendent Jeff Pelley says the property in question is one that is well-known to the neighbourhood and to police for suspected criminal activities. “We fully anticipate this ongoing investigation and proactive enforcement will lead to the submission of charge recommendations as part of the assessment and approval process. We encourage the public to continue to provide assistance to police by reporting suspicious occurrences and sharing information with us, such as security video, which may be related to this or other offences.”

They say the action began at around 10am.
Not clear at this point when the RCMP will be done their work.
Details of that investigation have not been revealed.
Crimes against properties can include arson, which has become part of the battle tactics in the local drug conflict, which began heating up last spring with a series of arsons, which then escalated to shootings.
Mounties say they do intend to provide more information on the bust once it becomes available.
The area being cordoned off is in the same general location where RCMP found a man shot in mid-November as part of an incident connected to the local drug trade.
The same area is also where a sizeable bust was made in June connected to a pair of stolen vehicles found in the area — also connected to the drug trade.
