A brief lockdown of NorKam Secondary this morning due to an assault which took place just outside that school.
Police responded on-masse to a report of an assault with a weapon in the 700 block of 12th Street somewhere outside the school at around 8:45 this morning.
One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while another person was arrested at the scene.
Circumstances behind the attack are not clear.
It’s also not clear if the incident involved a student or someone associated with the school.
Due to its proximity to the school, the Mounties did put NorKam under a hold-and-secure lockdown for a short time.
