The NHL playoffs have started well for Logan Stankoven and his Carolina Hurricanes.
Stankoven and the ‘Canes would dominate New Jersey in Game 1 of their first round series on Sunday.
Playing on the 3rd line, Stankoven would score early in the 2nd off a scramble in New Jersey’s end to make it 2-0 for Carolina.
About 10 minutes later, the former Kamloops Blazers captain would score again, earning his 5th career playoff goal (having scored three with Dallas in last year’s playoffs) to make it 3-0.
Carolina would go on to win the game 4-1.
