
Kamloops RCMP say that no criminality is suspected in connection with a man who was found dead in a fire earlier this month.
A man discovered deceased in a fire on the North Shore is not believed to be the victim of foul play, following a police investigation.
Just before 2 a.m. on Monday April 7, emergency personnel responded to a fire on the North Shore at the corner of 8th Street and Tranquille
Once the fire was out it was revealed that there was a deceased man in the fire.
Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson Corporal Crystal Evelyn says since then, police have identified the victim as part of their sudden death investigation. “At this time, no evidence has been discovered to suggest criminality was involved in the man’s untimely death.”
The BC Coroners Service is conducting a concurrent investigation.
