The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is releasing images of two suspects who allegedly robbed a person, then tried, but failed to steal their vehicle Sunday morning.
On May 4, 2025, just before 6 a.m., police received a report of a robbery that had occurred approximately one hour earlier, on the 500-block of Victoria Street. Around 5 a.m., a person was in their vehicle in a parking lot, when they were allegedly approached by two masked men.
“The suspects robbed the victim of items in their possession, then attempted to steal their vehicle too, but failed when they realized they were unable to drive a standard transmission,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson. “As part of their investigation, police have obtained suspect images and are releasing them to the public in hopes that someone can identify them.”
The suspects are described as:
- Male, skinny, with a red and black bandana covering his face up to the eyes, and a red hoody with the hood up.
- Indigenous male, more than 6’ tall, skinny, wearing brown work pants, hoody with the hood up, and a red and black bandana, up to his eyes.
The suspects ran westbound down a nearby alley
