
The Kamloops Blazers have lost D Kalan Anderlini to the WHL expansion Penticton Vees in today’s WHL Expansion Draft.
Anderlini played the past two seasons with the Blazers appearing in 102 games. He scored two goals and added 11 assists. He will be entering his 19 year-old season.
The Blazers were allowed to protect 17 players aged 17 to 20 as part of the expansion draft rules.
Penticton selected a player or made a trade with all 22 WHL teams ahead of today’s expansion roster. The Vees will play a first season in the WHL after being granted an expansion franchise this spring by the WHL.

- Penticton Vees acquire 2006-born forward Diego Johnson (Fort St James, B.C.) from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick
- Penticton Vees acquire 20025-born forward Brady Birnie (Regina, Sask.), 20025-born defenceman Nolan Stevenson (Shaunavon, Sask.) and 2009-born forward Brooks DeMars (Hugo, Minn.) from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick, 2027 first-round pick, 2027 second-round pick, 2027 fight-round pick, 2028 first-round pick (conditional)
