The Kamloops Blazers have added more of their Bantam Draft capital into the fold.
The team has signed 2010-born forward Teagen Bouchard to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Bouchard was selected by the Blazers in the 1st round, 14th overall in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.
Bouchard is from Falher, AB and played his 2024-25 season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep team in the CSSHL.
The 5’7” and 162lb right shot center had 21 goals, 40 assists for 61 points in 30 games.
“We would like to welcome Teagen and his family to the Kamloops Blazers organization,” said GM/Head Coach Shaun Clouston in a team news release. “Teagen is a tenacious right shot center who was one of the top scorers on his team.”
“We look forward to watching Teagen’s game continue to grow and are excited to be a part of his future hockey development in Kamloops,” added Clouston.
As for the young man from Fahler — a town of around a thousand people in Alberta’s northwestern Peace Region — Bouchard says he’s excited about the prospect of ending up in Kamloops as a member of the Blazers.
“I love it here, no words to describe it. The boys have been so supportive [at camp]. It’s just amazing,” said Bouchard over the weekend at the Blazers Spring Development Camp.
His action in camp was limited due to an injury sustained during his CSSHL regular season.
Bouchard is the second player to sign with the Blazers from the 2010-born draft class on the heels of the Spring Development Camp.
The Blazers announced the signing of fellow 2025 first-rounder, defenseman Matteo Ferreira, on Monday.
