Police are appealing to the public for information after a man found with serious injuries near a local highway late last summer has now died.
Bradley Germann-Wilson was discovered around 7 a.m. on August 30, 2024, near the intersection of Yellowhead Highway and Paul Lake Road, according to a statement released Monday by the Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit. He was taken to hospital with significant injuries but has since succumbed to them.
“Based on the investigation so far, it is suspected that Bradley may be the victim of an assault and could have received his injuries hours before he was located,” said Corporal Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP.
Authorities believe Germann-Wilson may have been in the Kamloops area only briefly before his death. Investigators say he was previously known to be in the Terrace area, but how and why he ended up near Paul Lake Road remains unclear.
In a renewed effort to move the investigation forward, police have released Germann-Wilson’s name and image, hoping it may prompt anyone who saw him or had contact with him in the days before his discovery to come forward.
“If anyone saw Bradley in the days leading up to him being discovered roadside, may know why he was in the area, or has any other information that may be related to this investigation, we urge them to contact us,” said Napier.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2024-28673.
