Highway 1, between Savona and Tobiano, reopened around 9:00 Thursday night after a rockslide closed the road in both directions around 1:00 in the afternoon.

Original: Highway 1 is currently closed in both directions between Savona and Tobiano due to rockslide.
From Drive BC: “Landslide. Road closed. Assessment in progress. Detour in effect. Is closed at the west entrance of Savona Access Rd. Detour is Savona.”
No word on how long that may take at this time.
The incident occurred around 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 17.
Drive BC says its next update will be coming at 8:30 this evening.
